Facial and Body Waxing

Waxing is one of the most popular ways to temporarily remove unwanted hair. Unlike shaving, which cuts the hair off at the skin’s surface, waxing removes the entire hair from the root. This keeps you smoother and hair-free longer, with no prickly stubble when the hair returns. If waxing is done consistently, hair in waxed areas regrows lighter and sparser, or not at all. Our expert aestheticians offer a complete menu of waxing services for women and men and use the highest-quality waxing products to deliver a comfortable, clean and cost-effective hair removal experience.

What areas can be treated with waxing?

Waxing is a safe and effective hair removal method for almost any part of the body. Frequently waxed areas for women include the eyebrows, underarms, legs, bikini area and face. For men, popular areas include the chest, back, shoulders and stomach.

How should I prepare for my waxing appointment?

Your hair should be ¼” to ½” long at the time of your treatment for best results. When the hair is too short, the wax can’t grip it well enough to remove it. When it’s too long, waxing can be less efficient and more painful. Shaving two to three weeks ahead of an appointment is ideal for most people. Avoid tanning before your service and keep the area clean of lotions, moisturizers and makeup on the day of your appointment.

What does waxing feel like?

A little discomfort is normal during waxing, particularly if it’s your first time. It will hurt less with each visit as your hair becomes finer, softer and sparser. We aim to make our face and body waxing services as painless as possible. If you are naturally sensitive, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What should I do after my waxing appointment?

Your skin may be red, bumpy or sensitive after waxing. This is normal and should resolve over the next 24 to 48 hours. Avoid hot baths and showers, heavy exercise, hot tubs, saunas and sun exposure for the first day or two after a wax. Do your best to reduce friction and irritation in the area until your skin has calmed. When you’re ready, begin a gentle exfoliating and moisturizing routine to prevent ingrown hairs. Do not shave between waxes.

How long does waxing last?

Regrowth is typically minimal for the first week or two. We recommend scheduling a waxing appointment every four to six weeks, depending on the speed of your hair growth cycle, to maintain your smooth appearance. Regular waxing can decrease hair regrowth and lengthen the time required between treatments. Eventually, some follicles may stop producing hair altogether.
